VITAL AND MORTAL STATISTICS, 1925.
POPULATION.
The population of the Borough estimated to the middle of the
year 1925 is 103,520, and it is upon this figure that the statistics
generally in this Report are based. (The Registrar-General's estimate,
excluding non-civilians is 103,936 for Birth Rate and 102,936
for Death Rate).
It has been found necessary to make a slight adjustment in the
local figures consequent upon the movement of families from other
parts of the Borough to the Council's Housing Estate at Charlton.
This number is computed to be approximately 1,300, of which 845
came from East Greenwich, 425 from West Greenwich, and 30
from St. Nicholas, Deptford.

The following is the distribution of the population throughout the Borough:—
