Artificial Sunlight Treatment. The Maternity Committee
have given serious consideration to the question of providing
treatment of some of the cases of mal nutrition, rickets, etc., attending
the Centres by means of artificial sunlight and in order to educate
and form public opinion on the subject an arrangement was made
for Dr. Saleeby to give his popular lecture on "Sunlight and
Health" which was very well attended by an appreciative audience
and the Committee have now obtained the sanction of the Ministry
of Health to fit up the necessary apparatus at one of the Centres
and appoint a qualified nurse and this matter is now well in hand.
At the time of writing this Report it is hoped that the Artificial
Sunlight Centre will be shortly opened.
