Infant Mortality.
During 1926 the deaths of 183 infants were registered as belonging
to Battersea. The total number of births registered during
the year was 2,969 giving an infant mortality rate of 61.6 per

The infant mortality-rate was slightly higher during 1926

rise were respiratory and to a lesser extent intestinal diseases.
