Maternal Mortality.
According to the Registrar-General's classification the number
of Camberwell women whose deaths were associated with childbirth
during the year was eight, Puerperal Sepsis accounting for
one of these deaths.
The maternal death rate per 1,000 live and stillbirths was
2·49 as compared with 1·84 in 1937.
