Infantile Diarrhoea and Enteritis.
The number of deaths from these causes in children under 2
years of age was 35 as compared with 33 in 1933. Of these 32 died in
hospital. There can be no doubt that many of these deaths could
be prevented by early medical treatment and nursing attention.
During the months of August and September last year, when the
weather was exceptionally warm, the number of deaths from
diarrhoea only numbered 6.
