BIRTHS.
The total number of births belonging to the borough registered
during 1952 was 998 consisting of 513 males and 485 females. The
number for 1951 was 1,062. The birth-rate for 1952 was 16.7 per
thousand persons living, compared with 17.6 for 1951.
