DEATHS.
The total number of deaths belonging to the borough registered
during 1947 was 777, consisting of 432 males and 345 females. The
number for 1946 was 779. The death-rate for 1947 was 13.2 per
thousand persons living, compared with 13.8 for 1946.
MARRIAGES.
The total number of marriages in the borough in 1947 was 684,
being 19 above the number for 1946, and 126 below the average for
the last 10 years.
