VIII.—PROPAGANDA.
During the year 1939 lectures and demonstrations, in every case illustrated by cinema films, were given as follows:—
Schools | 19 |
Clubs and other Institutions | 33 |
Open Air (with Cinema Van) | 30 |
A.R.P. | 141 |
223 |
Audiences numbered 25,250.
This is the largest number of lectures and demonstrations ever
given in one year, and the increase is entirely due to the help given
by the Propaganda Department in the training of First Aid volunteers.
From the outset of war in September to the present date the
whole of the energies of the Propaganda Department have been
devoted to A.R.P. work.
