The reason that the whole of the Infants' departments was
not closed was that it was found that the class rooms indicated
were those which were alone infected, and I, therefore, concluded
that the necessary protection against infection, and the prevention
of the spread of disease would be obtained by closing only the
infected rooms. The results were entirely satisfactory.
