Parliament relating or having reference to Public Health work
were passed. These are contained in chapters 7, 8, 15, 21, 29, 44
and 51 of the 62 and 63 Victoria, a.d. 1899.
Metropolis Water Act, 1899.—An Act to enable and require
the Metropolitan Water Companies to supply each other with water
in cases of emergency. The Local Government Board are the
Authority to decide when this arises.
The Infectious Diseases Extension Act, 1899.—It extends
the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Act, 1889 to every urban,

been adopted by them before this Act came into force. The result
is that notification in England and Wales instead of being only
