THE ADULTERATION OF FOOD.
During the year 899 samples of food and drugs were bought or
procured for analysis under the provisions of the Sale of Food and
Drugs Acts. This was the largest number hitherto analysed in
a year in Islington. Of these foods and drugs 820 were genuine
and 79, or 879 per cent., adulterated.
