Saffron Hill Maternity and Child Welfare Centre.
Consultations in connection with this Voluntary Centre are held at the St.
Winifred Club, St. Peter's School, Onslow Street, Saffron Hill.
During the year ended 31st March, 1923, 401 infants and children under five
attended the consultations, 100 of the total number coming from the Holborn
Borough.
Extra food and nourishment was provided during the year for 98 mothers and
130 infants and small children, and classes and lectures on Health, Care of the
Home, Food Economy and kindred subjects were held. The Chairman and
Honorary Secretary is Miss Mary Canney, 75, Lamb's Conduit Street,

Deaths of Infants under One Year of Age. The homes were visited in a large proportion of the infant deaths, and any requisite information obtained. The cause and age of death are given in the following Table: —
