Integumentary System.—There were no deaths from diseases
of Integumentary System.
External Causes.—There were 52 deaths given as due to
causes grouped under this heading; 48 were the result of accident
or negligence, and the remaining 4 were from Suicide.
One child died from Suffocation by being overlaid in bed
(compared with 2 from this cause last year); 5 cases were from
Drowning, 8 from Burns and Scalds, while accidents on railways, in
vehicular traffic and in building operations, falls, etc., were responsible
for 34 deaths.
The Suicides were 2 from Drowning, 1 by Cut or Stab, and 1
from Poison.
Ill-Defined Causes.—There were two deaths in 1922, the
cause of which was not ascertained.
