For the whole of London the rate was 74 in 1922, compared
with 80 in 1921, 75 in 1920 and 85 in 1919. For England and Wales
the rate was 77, compared with 83 in 1921, 80 in 1920 and 93 in 1919.
Locally, the variations were from 10 per 1,000 births in Kidbrooke,
46 in East Greenwich, 63 in West Greenwich, 74 in Charlton,
