Wholesale Preserved Provision Factories.—48 visits were made
to these and on each occasion I found the carcases, ox and pigs
heads, and other meat of various kinds to be sound and free from
disease, and the premises kept in a cleanly condition.

inspections have been made on complaint and in connection with
the sale of food. The amount of faulty Government bacon and

making.

taken during the year for exposing unsound food for sale and a
conviction obtained in each.
