(c) General Inspections.—The number of other inspections
made by the Inspectors during the year was 1,028. These
inspections are in addition to those made under (a) and (b). The
nuisances or sanitary defects found were dealt with in the same
manner as those under (a) and (b).
Nuisances or defects found on inspection were remedied in
most cases on service of an intimation notice only. The total
number of such notices served during 1920 was 6,781. The number
af statutory notices served was 982; and summonses were issued
in 116 cases.
