Cancer.—There were 246 deaths during 1920 due to the different
varieties of malignant disease. This is an increase of 28 on the
number registered during 1919. The annual mortality rate from
malignant disease for last year is therefore 1.09 per 1,000 inhabitants.
The following table gives the distribution of the deaths from this disease in the different sub-districts of the Borough :—
