INQUESTS AND MORTUARY.
During the year 507 bodies were received into the Mortuary, as compared
with an average of 605 in the preceding 10 years. The return is the lowest
known for very many years.
The daily average number of bodies received was 14 as compared with
1.7 in 1915.
In 394 cases inquests were held, as contrasted with an average of 416 in the ten years 1906-1915.
