Pleurisy—From this disease 14 deaths were registered, of which 2 were
under five years old. Only 1 death occurred in a Public Institution.
Asthma and Emphysema.—Fifteen deaths were recorded from these
diseases, 14 of which were those of adults.
Other Diseases of the Respiratory System.—Eighteen deaths
were registered from them, as contrasted with 26 in 1915.
VENEREAL DISEASES.
Fifteen deaths were ascribed to these diseases, which showed a decrease
of 8 deaths on the return for 1915. They were 2 below the mean of the
preceding ten years 1906-15.
