The death-rate for the Borough in 1912 was 16.9 per thousand living inhabitants, being
1.5 below that recorded in 1911, and 2.1 below the average for the last 10 years. If the Census
population be taken as the basis of calculation of the rate, it works out at 16.8, which is 0.9 below
that for 1911.
