ANNUAL REPORT OF THE MEDICAL OFFICER OF
HEALTH FOR THE YEAR 1912,
To the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Commons of the
Corporation of London.
Public Health Department,
Guildhall, E.C., 25th March, 1913.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present herewith the Report of the Medical Officer of
Health for the year 1912.
When 1 presented my Report for the year 1911, I was of the opinion that that would
be the last submitted by me in my official capacity as Medical Officer of Health of the
City of London, but circumstances delayed the appointment of my successor—
Dr. W. J. Howarth—who did not, as a consequence, enter on his duties until
25th March, 1913.
When I relinquished office, this Report was only in draft, and I am indebted to
Dr. Howarth for his kindness in seeing it through the press.
