The mortalities at groups of ages (sec next page) were notably higher in the "Combined
Insula;" than in the "Rest of the Borough" last year except at ages under one month. The
greatest difference was that at ages 6-9 months. Last year's rates in the insulœ were below
those for the previous year except at ages in the second half of the year of life. The rate for
ages 6-9 months recorded last year (27.75) was more than double the rate for 1908 (11.04).
