Officer thus appointed shall have charge of the Tuberculosis Dispensary,
and be entirely and personally responsible for the
diagnosis and treatment of all patients presenting themselves at
the Dispensary, and shall visit the homes in some cases for the
purpose of keeping observation on his own patients, but not
generally for domiciliary treatment. He shall also be available
for c onsultations with general medical practitioners requiring such
assistance. That a Dispenser should be appointed to live on the
premises, and be responsible for the cleanliness of the same.
That two Nurses should be appointed for this work, and that the
tentative arrangements already made with the Ranyard Nurses'
Association for the supply of such Nurses should be confirmed
and acted upon.

The estimate of the annual cost of the proposed Institution being as follows:—

As stated in the introduction to this report, after passing
through many vicissitudes, we now have established a Temporary
Tuberculosis Dispensary, together with the necessary staff, as outlined
above.
Dr. W. B. Hill being the first Tuberculosis Officer of that
Institution, and his report upon the working of the Dispensary,
from its opening on September 1st to the end of the year, I have
much pleasure in submitting, as follows:—
