VITAL AND MORTAL STATISTICS, 1908.
POPULATION.
The number of persons estimated to be living at the middle
of the year is 109,110. This estimate is an increase of 1,888
upon the corresponding figure of last year. The natural increase
of the population during the year, or the excess of the number of
births over the number of deaths, is 1,213, which therefore allows
675 as the balance of immigrants over emigrants.
The distribution of the population throughout the Borough is as follows :—
