Report on the sanitary condition of the Hackney District for the year 1911

Water Supply.—Under Section 48 (2) of the Public Health
(London) Act, 1891, there were 27 certificates of proper and
sufficient water supply issued to owners of new or rebuilt
dwelling-houses in the Borough. These certificates refer to
55 houses.
By-laws for Houses Let in Lodgings.—During the year the
following houses were registered by the Public Health Committee
as houses let in lodgings.
11, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, WWestgate Street.
36, Chatham Place.
The former houses included 29 tenements and the latter
9 tenements.
The total number of houses on the register at the end of 1911,
including the above, was 501. All of the occupied houses registered
as let in lodgings were inspected during 1911. The following
sets out in detail the result of the inspections made, etc.:—
