The position occupied by Hackney amongst the London
Boroughs may be seen from the subjoined table showing the
death.rates from all causes and the death.rate of infants under
1 year of age, in the Metropolitan Boroughs and the City of London
during the 52 weeks of 1911, as calculated by the Registrar.General.

In spite of the increased mortality during that year the relative position of Hackney remains practically unchanged.
