109,496, i.e., the population at the Census of 1911. With the
prevention of overcrowding and the lessening of the number
of families per house which we hope to bring about, 6.6 will
become a more correct factor in future years.
The following table gives the approximate number of
houses in each ward, and I have added a column showing the
estimated population of each Ward from the Census returns
for 1911:—
