LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL (GENERAL POWERS) ACT, 1909.
ACCOMMODATION FOR STORAGE OF FOOD.
1909. Part III., SEC. 16, 17, 18. Accommodation for
storage of food.
SEC. 16. Gives power to a sanitary authority to require the
owner of a house let out in tenements to provide for the use of
each family occupying such house sufficient and suitable
accommodation for the storage of food if such provision is
practicable. This section shall not apply to any tenement house
used, or occupied, as such before the passing of this Act.
Sec. 17. Applies the following sections of the Public
Health (London) Act, 1891, to this part of this Act, viz., SECS.
101, 112, 115, 116, 117, 118, 121, 122, 124, 125, 127, 128, 133,
135.
Sec. 18. Gives power to a sanitary authority to enter any
tenement house at all reasonable times for the purpose of ascertaining
what accommodation for the storage of food is provided,
and whether there is any contravention of the provisions of this
part of this Act.
Sec. 19. Gives power to the owner of premises to enter,
notwithstanding the provisions of lease, for the purpose of
