three quarters of the year, bringing the cost for the disposal alone
of house refuse during the year to a total of £5,937 19s. 10d.
This sum added to the cost of removal brings the total cost of
removal and disposal of the house refuse during 1909 to the grand
total of £14,645 19s. 7d.
Distributing this total cost for the year over the estimated
population of the Borough, it amounts to nearly 1s. 2¾d per head.
I give below the usual table, showing the number of
"refusals" and "no answers" given to the dustman at their
weekly calls
