population, as compared with the rate of 9.5 per 1,000 of the
population in 1906. The average recorded death-rate for the 10
years 1897-1906 was 10.6.
This is the lowest death-rate ever recorded in Hampstead, the
next lowest being that of 9.3 in 1905.
