OVERCROWDING.—The total number of cases of over-crowding
dealt with during 1908 was 125. Of these, 61 instances affected
registered houses.
In many cases attention was drawn to the over-crowding by means
of complaints—anonymous or otherwise—addressed to the depart
ment.
