SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS
ACTS.
Under the Bye-laws of the Borough Council, each Sanitary
Inspector acts, in his own sanitary district, as an Inspector under
the above Acts. During the year 1907 the Inspectors collected 603
samples, of which 52 (or 8.6 per cent.) were adulterated. There
were 28 prosecutions under the Acts, the aggregate amount of tines
and costs inflicted being £94 7s. 0d. In 1906, 12.4 per cent. of
the samples were found to be adulterated, and there were 33
prosecutions.
