INSPECTION OF FOOD AT RIVERSIDE WHARVES, &c.
Daily inspections have been made of the quality of the food landed or stored
at the 28 riverside wharves in the City, and in the course of the year 316
loads of unsound food have been removed from these places by the Cleansing
Department and destroyed at Letts' Wharf.
