is concerned, anonymous. When it is recollected that the London County
Council is not the sanitary authority, and that, as already stated, the majority
of these complaints are made to them in error, it is, to speak mildly, not
treating the Borough Council with that courtesy and consideration which it
has every right to expect, as the authority duly appointed under the Public
Health (London) Act, 1891, to receive complaints, to abate nuisances, and to
prevent disease.

Improvements effected—As a result of these inspections and the notices which were served, the following sanitary defects were abated:—
