more than one occasion in a neighbouring borough. Since 1895 when the
machines, which are of the Goddard, Massey and Warner type, were erected,
216,308 large articles, apart altogether from small ones, have been disinfected,
and during this period very few have been damaged, so that
the amount of compensation that has had to be paid has been very small.

The following is a record of the work performed by the Steam Disinfectors during the past eight years:—
