1. Consumption in Families.—The following table shows the number of cases in which there has been a history of family disease pointing in most cases, in all probability, to family infection:—

It should he pointed out that it is impossible to make enquiries
in a number of cases owing to removal, or death, or unwillingness
to give information. This latter; however, only refers to several
cases.
2. Length of the Disease.—The comparative length of
the disease is illustrated in the following table:—
