to report that one third of these cases occurred on Sunday mornings.
They were in all probability due to Alcoholism. "Prematurity"
and "Malnutrition and Debility" are more common causes of the
death of infants in towns than in rural districts. It will have been
noticed that nearly one quarter of the total number of deaths in the
Borough are of infants under one year of age.

SENILE MORTALITY. The deaths of persons over 65 years were as follows:—

One hundred and eighty-two of these were men, and 236 were
women.
Out of the total of 418, 112 were between 65-70 years of age.
