SCHOOLS. There are in Finsbury 24 Public Elementary Schools, containing 19,166 children, as follows:—

During the year various visits and inspections have been made
to the Elementary Schools. In some cases this has been due to
the occurrence of infectious disease or to the existence of
insanitary conditions. One Board School was closed for two
days for thorough disinfection owing to a case of small-pox in
the caretakers family.

the occurrence of non-notifiable diseases have been as follows :—
