Report on the sanitary condition of the Hackney District for the year 1893

October.—General temperature was above the average this month,
the mean being 53.2°. Atmospheric pressure was below the average
up till the 9th, after which it was generally above for the remainder of
the month. Rain was more plentiful this month, falling on 15 days ;
the total amounted to 8.98 inches.
November.—The weather this month was cloudy and cold. The
temperature changed frequently, the mean being 42.8°. The atmospheric
pressure also varied considerably and frequently. Rain fell on
14 days, the total amount equalling 2.10 inches. A severe gale of
wind from N. and N.W., with a fall of snow, was experienced on the
18th and 19th.
December.—The weather this month was generally dull and mild,
the mean temperature being above the average, viz., 57.2. The
pressure changed frequently during the month. The fall of rain
amounted to 2.16 inches.
