The brick sewer in Great Marlborough Street, opposite
the Police Court, was altered, and for a short distance
replaced with 2-feet pipes to make room for the new
underground conveniences.
Several of the small brick barrel sewers running through
the vaults of the houses in Regent Street, being in a very
defective state, were replaced with pipes.
The accumulations removed from the sewers and gullies
were carted away by the slopping contractors under their
contract, without extra expense to the Vestry.
