Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present to you a report upon the
samples submitted to me for analysis under the Sale of
Food and Drugs Act during the year ending the 31st
March, 1897.
The total number of samples examined during the
twelve months was 375—a larger number than in the four
preceding years, when the figures were as follows :—
1892-3 220
1893-4 266
1894-5 348
1895-6 318
Of the 375 samples submitted during the past year
186 were brought to me by Inspector William Henry Bond
and 189 by Inspector John Robinson.
