asphalte pavements in various streets in the District, the
Contracts in most cases extending over a period of seventeen
years from the date of the formation of the pavements;
and also with several contractors, tradesmen, and others,
for the supply of ironwork, drain pipes, lime, cement, &c.,
the execution of works, repairs, and the supply of goods
and materials.
