The man had been ailing some time prior to
above date with diarrhoea and other premonitory
symptoms, but the diagnosis of fever was
not determined earlier.
The room, bed, bedding and clothing used by
the patient were disinfected the same day.
Fifty days later, viz., Monday, the 23rd
January, four more cases broke out.
Cases were reported in rapid succession on the following dates:—
