It will be seen from the above that during
the year 263 certificates were received, including
29 "duplicates."

Table B shows that of the 234 cases of notifiable infectious disease reported, 60.4 per cent. were removed to hospital for treatment, the remaining 39.6 per cent. being nursed at their own homes.

Exclusive of erysipelas, 63.0 per cent. went to
hospital, against 78.5, 83.9, 77.5, 73.6, and 82.7
in the five preceding years. These figures show
a remarkable decrease as compared with previous
years, owing to the fact that in one establishment
alone, no less than 45 patients were treated
