State whether the sample was submitted to the Analyst by an Officer acting under direction of a Local Authority, under Section 13 of Act, 1876, and if so, the name of such Authority.	Result of Analysis: showing whether the sample was Genuine or Adulterated, and, if Adulterated, what were the nature and extent of the Adulteration.	The sum paid In respect of the Analysis. MILK (Eight samples)	Yes, by Inspectors appointed by the late Commissioners of Sewers.	Genuine, with one exception	Nil	One sample adulterated with 164 per cent. of added water. Proceedings taken and offender fined £3 and 2s. costs.
MARGARINE (One sample)		Genuine	Nil
BUTTER (Twelve samples)		Genuine, with four exceptions	Nil	Two convictions obtained under the Margarine Act and defendant fined £5 and 4s. 6d. costs in each case. Two Summonses under the Sale of Food and Drugs Acts withdrawn.
CREAM (One sample)		Contained boracic acid	Nil	Vendor cautioned. No legal proceedings taken pending the Report of the Departmental Committee on Food Preservatives, now sitting.
