SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS, 1875 AND 1879. Report of the Public Analyst appointed for the City of London upon the Articles analysed by him under the above Acts during the Quarter ending the 30th June, 1899.

BUTTER (Nine samples)Eight genuine—one sample submitted by a private purchased proved to be Margarine.10s. 6d.In this case two summonses were taken out, and defendant fined £3 and 12s.6d.. costs under the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, and 5s. and 2s. costs under the Margarine Act.
