Article submitted for Analysis.	State whether the sample was submitted to the Analyst by an Officer acting under direction of a Local Authority under Section 13 of Act, 1876, and if so, the name of such Authority.	Result of Analysis: showing whether the sample was Genuine or Adulterated and, if Adulterated, what were the nature and extent of the Adulteration.	The sum paid in respect of the Analysis.	OBSERVATIONS.
MILK (Thirty six samples)	Yes, by Inspectors appointed by the late Commissioners of Sewers.	All within the limits adopted by the Society of Public Analysts.	Nil
BROWN SUGAR (Eight samples)		Genuine	Nil	Three of these samples were coloured artificially.
BUTTER (Nine samples)		Eight genuine—one sample submitted by a private purchased proved to be Margarine.	10s. 6d.	In this case two summonses were taken out, and defendant fined £3 and 12s.6d.. costs under the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, and 5s. and 2s. costs under the Margarine Act.
