UNSOND FOOD.
Four hundred and fifty-two cartloads
of unsound food were removed by the Cleansing
Department arid destroyed as trade refuse at
Letts' Wharf, at the written request and expense
of the owners.
The material so disposed of comprised:—
Vegetables and Fruit | 374 loads |
Condensed Milk | 35 „ |
Fish | 11 „ |
Cheese | 2 „ |
Miscellaneous | 30 „ |
Total | 452 loads |
The quantity of material dealt with under the
above circumstances was considerably in excess
of that for the two previous years, the number
of loads being 325, 250 and 452 for the years
1897, 1898 and 1899 respectively.
