The total number of cases notified was 1,651 less than in the previous year.
The number of scarlet fever cases fell from 2,457 to 1,255, diphtheria cases
from 732 to 502, and erysipelas cases from 678 to 470.
The following table shows the seasonal variation in the prevalence of tho
notifiable diseases from week to week throughout the year.
