Maintenance of Asphalte Carriage-way
Pavements.
During the year, Contracts were entered into between
your Board and the several Contractors who laid the different
pavements for a further maintenance for 15 years of the
following streets, at the prices per yard superficial placed
against the same:—
Tower Street 6d. per yard superficial per annum.
Shelton Street 6d. „ ,,

Russell Square (South side) 1s. „ „

Sewers.
The following Sewer Works were performed during the
year
Russell Square, west side, and
Montague Place
1,040 feet run new 4 ft. by 2 ft. 6 in.
brick sewer.
Southampton Row, from Bloomsbury
Place to Cosmo Place
520 feet run existing sewer underpinned
and repaired.
Great Russell Street, from Museum
Street to Bloomsbury Street
360 feet do. do.
Kenton Street, from Great Coram
Street to Bernard Street
410 feet do. do.
Lloyd's Court
80 feet run new 4 ft. by 2 ft. 6 in.
brick sewer, to connect with sewer
in Charing Cross Road.
Great White Lion Street
20 feet run new 4 ft. by 2 ft. 6 in.
brick sewer, to connect with sewer
in Shaftesbury Avenue.
Bedford Square, South side
700 feet run existing sewer underpinned
and repaired.
