ANNUAL REPORT OF THE MEDICAL
OFFICER OF HEALTH AND PUBLIC
ANALYST FOR THE YEAR 1898.
To the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor,
Aldermen and Commoners of the Corporation
of London.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present my
Annual Report for the year 1898.
AREA.
The City of London Registration District
comprises an area of 672T acres (excluding tidal
water and foreshore), or 1.05 miles, equal to a
square of 1.0247 miles to a side.
The area of "Registration London" is 74,672
acres (excluding tidal water and foreshore), or
116.7 square miles, equal to a square of 10.8
miles to a side.
The City forms one of the three central
Metropolitan Districts, and is divided for civil
